Top 10 process images

Photoshop

Photoshop #1: I chose 3 different materials, glass door, white marble, and wood to photoshop into my model. I then picked a background that is most appropriate for the materials I chose. Having two different exterior wall finishes adds a contrast that I really liked.

Photoshop #2: I chose brick, matte wall paint and glass opening for the exterior finishes.

Photoshop #3: For the last photoshop exercise, I wanted to experiment with combining two different materials together to create interesting effects.

100 Word Statment

Paper and cardboard of different thicknesses can be used to create different results. I have discovered that it is important to consider materials for the models we intend to make and at what scale we are making them. For example, in week 5, I found it very hard to make my model using paper at the 1:10 scale as paper is very thin and, therefore, very hard to keep upright. To overcome this challenge, I then made the same model using the carboard and discovered that the thicker material allowed me to construct the same design more successfully.

WEEK 07 Activities

FUSION 360-INITIALS

The letters used for this task are G, Z and W which are the first letters of my first, middle, and last name.

1:20 CARDBOARD MODEL

This is a refined model of my living space in a 1:20 scale. I used thicker cardboard. I found it easier to make the model because if the experiences I gained from the previous models. The thickness of the cardboard made it easier for the structure to stand upright without extra support.

WEEK 05 Activities

1:10 PAPER MODEL

The first model I made was a model of my living space in paper at a scale of 1:10. It was challenging to work at 1:10 scale using paper as the paper is thin and hard to keep upright. Therefore I had to use extra support such as masking tape to connect the sides together.

1:10 CARDBOARD MODEL

This is the second model I made using cardboard at the scale of 1:10. I found it much easier to work with the carboard as the thickness of the material was very easy to keep upright. I also found it very easy to make clean cuts using cardboard instead of paper.

1:10 IMPROVED PAPER/CARDBOARD MODEL

For the improved version of my living space, I chose to work with thinner cardboard and tracing paper. I really enjoyed trying out different things such as adding openings, using different materials for different sides as well as designing the interior.

1:10 IMPROVED MODEL

I added interior design such as mezzanine, stairs, and a bed.
